Gluing: Ensure that all surfaces are dry, free of dust and grease. – Apply the glue to both surfaces. – Ensure that drying time of the glue is respected. – Position the Decoflex on the substrate. – Start to press from the middle of the sheets towards the sides, using a roller with 2 grips or a scraper. – It is necessary to leave 4 to 5 days between gluing and lacquering to let the glue sufficient drying time.
Finishing and checking: Remove the excess Decoflex. – Use light against the grain of wood to check the surface fore defaults. – Bubbles and ridges can be removed by using an iron.
Watch out for overheating and discoloration of the veneer. – Decoflex is pre-sanded with grit 150. Resand with grit 180 to obtain a smoother surface.
