PEFC

Since 1999 there has been a certification system created by forest owners in six European countries, namely PEFC. This is known as the “Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes” and guarantees us that the wood we process under this label comes from a sustainable forest.

PEFC-certification aims to prove that it really is possible, to preserve and maintain forests despite the increasing demand for wood. In other words, we can satisfy our current and future needs for wood and respect the environment. PEFC distinguishes itself by taking into account the special characteristics of each country and its national laws. To be able to supply our environmentally minded customers with PEFC-certificated products we obtained the Chain-of-Custody (COC) for PEFC on January, 16th 2006.

By our commitment to PEFC, we want to make clear to our customers and suppliers that we do not tolerate illegally harvested wood. We support the search for sustainable forest management strongly and want to promote this actively in the market of our cores business.
