Wood fits into any interior. Light or dark wood, a floor, a wall, a ceiling or compartmentalized with slats. At Decospan, we don't just believe that wood makes living and working interiors more beautiful and warmer. It also improves the quality of life.
MádiLáncos Studio was contracted to design the interior for these offices in a monumental building in the heart of the Hungarian capital. It was quite a challenge, because Egon Zehnder expected a certain homeliness but at the same time a functional and elegant office atmosphere.
The interior designers succeeded in this task perfectly well by combining classical architectural elements with modern interventions such as distinctive design furniture, modern lamps and colourful elements in the furnishings and finishes. In the kitchen and sitting areas people can sit together comfortably, while it remains clear at all times that this is a contemporary working environment.
Open and light
In any case, the employees of the consultancy firm have a pleasant office to come to and work at. The exclusive Egon Zehnder customers can also be welcomed in this elegant setting. The consultants offices can be perfectly closed off to make sure all conversations remain confidential, while the glass walls and doors keep the entire interior sufficiently open and light.
The floors are new, but clearly refer to the original atmosphere of the old building: herringbone parquet in oak veneer - could it get any more classic? The floor, installed by Decorfloor, brings harmony and calm to the entire interior. Herringbone parquet is here to stay and works well with any interior style.
Decorfloor used Parky Ivory Oak here. Parky is a multi-layer parquet that combines the warmth and unique design of real wood with the benefits of laminate. Parky is indeed equally easy to install and maintain. But the top layer is real, natural wood.
