Those were the challenges with which joiner Christophe was confronted in this Belgian home. And he hit the nail on the head with the warm wood wall in walnut veneer.
A stylish eye-catcher
The wall isn’t merely decorative; while it’s undeniably a stylish eye-catcher, it also serves a practical purpose. The huge surface extends to the kitchen cabinets, creating a calming visual unity. The combination of wood veneer with the black of the ceiling and base of the fireplace, the white kitchen cabinets, and the exposed brick wall create a warm yet chic feel.

The client insisted on a modern interior design for this home. The wood fireplace wall is streamlined but still radiates a cosy, homely atmosphere. The flickering flames of the gas fireplace can be enjoyed by the inhabitants anywhere in the room.
