Wood fits into any interior. Light or dark wood, a floor, a wall, a ceiling or compartmentalized with slats. At Decospan, we don't just believe that wood makes living and working interiors more beautiful and warmer. It also improves the quality of life.
A car driving into the meeting room: not your usual sight at the office. Yet, this stunt fits in perfectly, because the Managing Director of MR Group is a former Belgian car rally champion. Sonar Architects received the explicit request to integrate his love of fast cars into the building.
Wooden wall with hidden doors
And that is exactly what happened. The central wooden wall that runs through the whole building has huge hidden doors that are not noticeable because of the vertical lines in the wall. Through these enormous doors, the special cars can drive in, right into the managers office or the meeting room. Now thats making an entrance.
Light and dark
The shape of the cars is about the only thing breaking through the clean lines in the interior at MR Group, apart from the round UFO-like lighting. Straight lines are everywhere, from the large windows to the lines in the wooden wall. De Laere Decor has finished it in a very light veneer: Shinnoki Ivory Oak. The bright colour offers a nice contrast to the many black colours of the floors, windows and cupboards. The kitchen unit, on the other hand, was clad in Querkus Vintage Original Hoboken, for a warm, natural touch in this ultramodern office building.

Lots of light, clean lines and designer lighting: the new offices of MR Group have it all. The manager can even park his exclusive cars in his office. Sonar Architects responded beautifully to his wishes.
