Wood fits into any interior. Light or dark wood, a floor, a wall, a ceiling or compartmentalized with slats. At Decospan, we don't just believe that wood makes living and working interiors more beautiful and warmer. It also improves the quality of life.
Architects Goddeeris designed Konverts new, low-energy building in Kortrijk. The double L-shape comprises no less than 3,500 square metres of office space, with plenty of daylight streaming in through the large windows.
The interior finishing also contributes to the working atmosphere. For example, the architectural firm drew all lines of the joints, cupboards, doors and ceilings on a 90 x 90 centimetre grid. In combination with the abundance of light and the openness, this provides even more visual peace.
Impressive interior wall with veneer slats
In the entrance hall, an imposing inner wall in glass and wood runs the entire height of the building. To this end, De Laere Decor, which implemented the entire design, worked with the easy-to-install veneer slats of Astrata Slats. The vertical slatted structure makes the open space even more cosy and decorative.
Vertical lines are a striking interior design trend and here you can clearly see why. The vertical lines of the slatted wall create a special architectural effect: they emphasise the height of the building and bring a graphic dynamism that has a positive impact on productivity. At the same time, the warm wood ensures that the high hall does not have a chilly appearance.
Everything in the same type of wood
The many wood finishes in the interior make the picture perfect at Konvert. By consistently choosing the same dark wood type - Afrormosia - De Laere Decor created a nice unity in the look & feel of the entire office space. The warm colour of the wood combines perfectly with the white of the floors, walls and ceilings and creates a chic aesthetic balance.
Working at the efficient and cosy office of the future
Temporary employment agency Konvert wanted to offer its employees an ideal working environment in its new head office. The result: a sustainable and open building with a pleasant working atmosphere. The striking wooden slatted wall brings dynamism and warmth.
