Imagine: sunlight streams indoors through floor-to-ceiling glass, illuminating two lush interior courtyards. One features a majestic olive tree, the other serves as a tranquil aviary with bamboo.
Architect Scott Specht and co-owner Shiraz Bakshai wanted to completely rethink what makes a home feel open and inviting. The result is a design that turns inward, drawing inspiration from ancient architectural styles where daily life revolves around interior courtyards.
In this unique architecture, the choice of materials plays a crucial role. Shinnoki Smoked Walnut, prefinished wood veneer from Decospan, forms a beautiful foundation for interiors that exude warmth and character.
This wood, with its irregular but consistent grain pattern, brings the unique beauty of nature indoors. The beautiful, dark brown wood grain, characterised by a subtle, fine pattern, emphasises the natural elegance.
