In the American town of Atherton, in the same region of the Facebook and Google headquarters, you can find this residential villa with seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a home cinema, gym, swimming pool and garage for six cars. Not surprisingly, this impressive project by Woodland Properties consumed an equally impressive budget of $37 million.
The architectural firm in charge was Arcanum, which collaborated with CalCase for the interior design and implementation. They went for a semi-modern style, combining classic and modern elements. Overall it looks quiet and rather traditional while the lines are clean and modern.
The natural materials also give the interior a calming, warm look. You see a lot of marble and especially a lot of veneer. All tables, cabinets and other interior elements were custom-made for this luxury villa. CalCase worked with Shinnoki and Querkus by Decospan, in different shades and textures.
Shinnoki is a wide range of high-quality, ready-to-use veneer panels. In this case CalCase chose two different Shinnoki designs: Manhattan Oak and Desert Oak. From the Querkus collection, the interior designers opted for a tinted version of Querkus Allegro Stained. The durable, top-quality oak veneer was the ideal choice for the panelling of the dining table and kitchen cabinets.
