The magnificent Park Pavilion was designed and built by the architects of De Zwarte Hond and Monadnock in a nature reserve. That obviously meant that it would have to be based on a sustainable design and flawlessly match the natural environment. The huge glass façade, organic shapes, and the interior brimming with natural materials make Park Pavilion genuinely feel like part of the landscape.
Visitors entering the high-ceilinged space are instantly drawn to the beautiful and constantly evolving view of De Hoge Veluwe Park through the grand glass wall. The sheer size of the space sweeps you off your feet and is further enhanced by the unusual chandeliers that reflect unique patterns of light on the vaulted ceiling.
Designer Bart Vos incorporated leather, raw wood, and oak veneer, among others, in the interior. That enhances the experience of nature. The Oak Quarter veneer is made from natural wood with a pure, clean feel. It’s perfect for this handsome and light, yet cosy space.
