Incorporating wood in bathrooms is a daunting concept for many, and brick rarely ever makes the scene. However, this newbuild project in the Netherlands sweeps all doubt aside. The wood accents feature a rustic finish oak veneer that flawlessly complements the space.
Architect Toon van Seggelen used Querkus Oak Natural Adagio, a pure and authentic material. The veneer underwent a ‘scratch’ treatment in Decospan’s finishing centre, giving the surface a bandsaw effect. It creates a veneer panel that looks just as rugged as solid wood.
That solid wood look complements the rustic vibe of the exposed brick wall beautifully and creates an incredibly natural and relaxing atmosphere. And there you have it – a newbuild oozing with character.
